Esta semana vamos a repasar el PASADO en inglés. Vamos a empezar por el PASADO SIMPLE DEL VERBO SER / ESTAR ( VERB TO BE). Esto lo trabajamos en el tema 5, pero es necesario practicarlo de vez en cuando para que no se nos olvide!.
PASADO SIMPLE DEL VERBO
SER / ESTAR
(PAST SIMPLE OF VERB TO BE: WAS / WERE).
Las palabras “was” y “were” pueden tener 4 significados.
Es muy importante
conocer estos significados antes de analizar la estructura.
WAS / WERE SIGNIFICADOS:
1. Estaba, estabas, estaba, estábamos,
estabais, estaban
2. Estuve, estuviste, estuvo,
estuvimos, estuvisteis, estuvieron.
She was here yesterday (Ella estuvo aquí ayer).
3. Era, eras, era, éramos, erais, eran.
4. Fui, fuiste, fue, fuimos, fuisteis,
fueron.
They were happy (Ellos eran / fueron
felices).
¿CUÁL ES LA ESTRUCTURA?
Afirmativo: happy (feliz)
- I was
happy.
- He was happy.
- She was happy: Ella era / estaba feliz.
- It was happy.
- You were happy.
- We were happy.
- They were happy.
Negativo:
Existen dos opciones para formar el negativo:
1. Sin
contracción (Was not /were not)
2.Con contracción
(Wasn’t / weren’t).
- I was not
here.
- He was not here.
- She was not here.
- It was not here.
- You were not
here.
- We were not here:
no estabamos
/ estuvimos aquí.
- They were not here.
Interrogativo: Sad: triste
- Was I sad?
- Was he sad?: ¿Era / estaba
triste?
- Was she sad? (Posibles respuestas: Yes,
she was / No, she wasn’t)
- Was it sad?
- Were you sad?
- Were we sad? (Posibles respuestas: Yes,
we were / No, we weren’t)
- Were they sad?
